Young Money continues Fort Myers dominance, takes home probably age-inappropriate trophy

We played our Bratish at the closest thing to a links course there is in Fort Myers, the exceptional Donald Ross-designed Fort Myers Country Club. Young phenom Nick Gunn seized the jugs at this piece of local history.

Young Money didn't let four penalty strokes get in his way, still beating 90 (the only one of us!) to win the Jugs. This is Gunn's second win and second major of the 2022 season. Maybe an extra stroke and having to play from the back tees will teach this guy a lesson.

It was a tough day out there for much of the field. Shooting a 110 or better got you a tiny check. And from what your chapter leader could see just about everyone did a great job at finding the few hazards that exist on the course.

Grizzled vet Tim Gunn took the mediocre award, Kevin Olivo crushed his tee shot on 11 to win longest drive, and to add insult to injury Nick landed his first shot on the 4th hole to within a flagstick to win closest to the pin. Newcomer Joel Paasch comfortably won his second Red Key, and this time we promise to remember that he can tee it forward next tournament.
